At Niuxys, we offer two types of Frankincense (Boswellia Serrata and Boswellia Carterii grown different regions (India and United Arab Emirates).
All varieties of Frankincense share slightly similar properties and therapeutic functions, but the difference is in the growing conditions and the regions they came from. All varieties of Frankincense that we carry will smell slightly different from each other as well as have different constituents. This is due to a slight variance in chemical make up brought on by the different growing conditions.

WAYS TO USE
1. Diffuse a few drops to elevate your meditation routine.
2. Mix with a carrier oil and apply to tired muscles and joints.
3. Breathe in the deep, rich aroma to instantly improve your mood.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Topical use: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with a carrier oil (e.g., coconut) to minimize any skin sensitivity.
- Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
- Internal: Take internally with a veggie capsule or in 4oz drink of your choice with an emulsifier like honey.*

Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: A base note with a medium aroma, Boswellia serrata has a warm and spicy, woody balsamic aroma that is distinct from Somalian/Middle Eastern Frankincense. Its pungent aroma is noticeably different and lacks the smokey notes of the Carterii variety.
Blends With: Basil, Bergamot, Cardamom, Cedarwood, Chamomile, Cinnamon Bark, Clary Sage, Coriander, Geranium, Myrrh and Vanilla.
Product Abstract: Frankincense originates from a small scraggly but hardy tree indigenous to the Middle East, which is small with abundant pinnacle leaves and white or pale pink flowers. The resin begins as a fragrant sticky milky-white liquid that flows from the trunk of the tree when cut. The dried tears are collected, and the resin is then distilled, producing the precious oil. The resin is known as olibanum, derived from the Arabic al-lubanor 'that which results from milking', referring to the milky sap. It is used as incense, and has been traded for 5,000 years. Widely used in ancient Egypt, it was one of the ingredients used in the holy oil described in the Talmud. Frankincense was brought back to Europe by Frankish Crusaders (Frank-incense), and the oil is still highly prized today in the perfumery industry, and widely used in the manufacturing of skin-care products.
